Pauline Joblin - 1994
Pauline was part of the Police team that dealt directly with the aftermath of the disastrous Mt Erebus plane crash. She worked in the mortuary at the Auckland School of Medicine and was the first female sworn member to be appointed as a full time Welfare Officer in Police.
Pauline was also a long time serving member on the Board of the New Zealand Police Staff Benevolent and Welfare Fund (now the Police Welfare Fund)
Pauline served on the Association Management Committee, later becoming the Police Association Board Of Directors. Pauline was awarded the Queen’s Service Medal in the 1987 Queen’s Birthday Honours, and received a Police Association Certificate of Merit in May 1994.
Pauline retired from Police in 1994 and was awarded Life Membership that same year.
