Why take a lifestyle security check?

From one year to the next, things happen and life changes.

People get married, have babies, get sick, get better, buy their own home, start somewhere new, separate from their partner, go overseas, retire... you get the idea.

What's going on with your life now and in the future determines what sort of protection you and your family may need.

These questions have been designed to encourage you to consider some important areas of your life, which may currently need some action taken to ensure you and your family's lifestyle is secure and protected from financial hardship.

1.I have an up-to-date will that will distribute my estate to my loved ones as I wish.
2.If I have Police Life Insurance (Sworn or Non-sworn) or Police Life Insurance Extra, I have reviewed my Benefit Nomination Form in the last year, so that the benefits from my cover go to the people I want them to.
3.I believe that the public hospital system will be able to provide prompt, effective treatment or surgery for the health problems I may experience in the future.
4.I am a member of Police Health Plan which will cover me for the cost of surgery and/or hospitalisation.
5.I have enough savings to get by if I am unable to work for several months because of sickness or injury.
6.If I were diagnosed with a serious illness like a form of cancer tomorrow, but were likely to survive, my family and I would have enough money to live comfortably through any lengthy treatment/recovery period and I could fund training for another career.
7.If an accident or illness made it impossible for me to ever work again, my family wouldn't suffer financial hardship.
8.If I die, those who are dependant on me financially will have enough money to support their current lifestyle now and in the future.
9.I'm confident that my family and lifestyle are financially protected from life's unexpected unfortunate events.
