Our newly created Senior HR Development Advisor role is dynamic and diverse, combining the need to provide generalist HR strategic and operational guidance and advice, while also having a specific focus on human resource development to support the delivery of a range of L&D and OD initiatives in line with the NZPA Strategy.  While this role has a focus on business outcomes, it will partner with our employees and leaders to define priorities that align with the experience and conditions we want to create, to enable everyone to do their best work. 

About you 

We’re looking for a talented, confident and decisive person who either has senior experience in a specialist L&D/OD role, or significant experience in an HR generalist position with a focus on L&D/OD. 

It is a busy role where you will hit the ground running to provide specialist advice on a range of complex people topics.  We have an ambitious strategy, and your first deliverable will be to design, develop and implement an association wide learning and development plan, particularly in relation to leadership development, core learning programmes and functional/role specific learning.

Ideally, we need someone who has experience with managing and implementing projects and the development and delivery of initiatives that build on our strengths and create an engaging work environment.  You will be someone who isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in, building strong relationships and working alongside all of our people.

This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer, is part of our senior leadership team, and is supported by a part-time human resources advisor located in Hawkes Bay.
