Bill Murray Award
The Bill Murray Award recognises members who have made an outstanding contribution to the Association over a sustained period of not less than ten (10) years.
Assessment Principles
When considering a Bill Murray Award nomination, regard should be given to:
- Completion of a minimum of ten (10) years of active service to the Association.
- Demonstrated sustained and active involvement throughout that period, rather than intermittent participation.
- The quality, significance and sustained nature of the nominee's contribution to the Association and its members.
- Outstanding service that has extended beyond the normal expectations of the nominee's role.
- Leadership, initiative and commitment demonstrated throughout the nominee's Association service.
- The benefit provided to members and the Association at a Local, Area, District, Regional or National level. Unlike Life Membership, outstanding service does not need to have benefited members nationally.
The Board may recognise outstanding contributions made through:
- Local Committee service.
- District or Area Committee leadership.
- Regional governance.
- National Office projects or secondments.
