Merit Award
The Merit Award recognises members who have provided distinguished and exemplary service to the Association and its members. While the contribution need not have been of national significance, it should clearly demonstrate service beyond that normally expected and have made a significant contribution to members or the Association.
Assessment Principles
When considering a Merit Award nomination, regard should be given to:
- The quality of the nominee's contribution.
- The benefit provided to members and the Association.
- Distinguished and exemplary service beyond the normal expectations of the nominee's role.
- Leadership, initiative or commitment demonstrated.
- The positive impact of the nominee's contribution.
The Merit Award recognises distinguished service rather than length of service alone.
