Police Association members can now see their Police Life Insurance Extra premiums and sums insured, as well as view and download their certificates online.

The association’s Insurances team will also use this feature to send members’ annual renewal certificates this year. In future, members will be able to track and view their historical transactions.

As well as the increased convenience and better security for members’ data, the association has significantly improved the processes and operational efficiency in this part of the organisation.

“This IT project should prove hugely beneficial to our members,” says operations general manager Neill Law. “This is testament to the skill and dedication of the team involved.”

A full life policy administration system with migration of historical data, links to all other systems and that provides online interactivity is an exceptional achievement for an organisation of the association’s size, Neill says. “It also means that we’ll be able to include life insurance in the major overhaul of our enrolment sign-up and application processes that is scheduled for delivery later this year.”

Life insurance is about making sure that, if the worst happens, a member’s dependents are looked after. The association recommends that members review their life insurance needs regularly.
