Committees are an important part of the Police Association, and we're continuing to provide training and support to help them thrive.

Training for association representatives on committees in the Southern District was delivered in Dunedin on 8-9 April by senior employment adviser Amanda Craig and welfare and engagement manager Craig Tickelpenny.

Topics covered were the collective employment agreements, health and safety in the workplace, legal assistance along with the association’s history and structure, and the role of a committee member.

Amanda and Craig found that the participants were an engaged group who brought a wealth of experience to their roles.
